Oh god ... here we go. CAUTION : MOST OF THIS IS A RANT (But still a good read) I've been playing this god awful game for a while now (just about to hit 55) and I can honestly tell you I hate the game. Now before you go screaming "BUT FURCHEE ITS COD HURR HURR HURR", let me tell you something: ALL previous cods were not as bad as this game. Oh god were they not. After BO2 I found myself thinking that ANYTHING would be better than that. Fuck me was I WRONG. I'm an activision fanboy. I believe that all their modern warfare games were amazing. (Did I mention MW2 was my favorite ?) The campaigns ruled and the multiplayer always satisfied me. That said I cannot BELIEVE that ghosts comes from infinity ward/activision. I simply cannot. The campaign wasn't satisfying and I felt like it was rushed. The story seemed fine but the thrill just wasn't there. If this was Treyarch's game, I would have expected that ... but activision ? So I'll sum it up in the next few categories and hope you'll understand. The Campaign: You start off landy dandy doing all your shit and then all of a sudden DAWGS. This isn't such a bad thing as I actually enjoyed Riley's presence. (the dog) I ran it the first time on normal mode and I completed it the same day. I burned through it as my brother and I commentated. *He's also a fan of the MW series. Even though the game runs on a new engine, it doesn't seem that much visually advanced over the previous COD's. Although that might be because I'm playing it on my 360. The story was decent up until half way and then it just went on to that "typical terrorist bull shit" and I found myself bored to tears. The end of the storyline shows you that the main nemises "Rorke" is still alive. I couldn't help but think "Oh here we go, sequel for this horse shit is coming up". I mean what the fuck were you thinking during the development of this game ? The story is nothing less than absolutely retarded and keeping Rorke alive is absolutely pointless. Multiplayer: Jesus - Fucking - Christ. You know, I'm not a hateful, spiteful bastard of man kind (or cheetah) ... not quite BUT if I had to deal with BO2's multishitplayershit then WHY the fuck do I have to deal with this ? Let me start off with how blatantly STUPID the reward system is ... The game has essentially turned into a "Do this OR ELSE" deal and that fucking pissed me off straight off the bat. WHY must I do something I HATE (where I'd rather choose to shovel my eyes out of my eye sockets with a rusty spoon) in order to get something I love ? Don't get me wrong, I realize that in earlier cod's you had to almost do the same shit ... but it's not HALF as bad as this method. Here's a great fucking example for you : You know that "Leaning" bull shit they added into the game ? Well in order to get a lovely camo for your gun, you HAVE TO get kills while leaning. LET ME ALSO tell you that in the fucking hints between games it says "You can disable the leaning effect if you prefer a more classical play style." OH AND FUCKING LOSE MY ABILITY TO GET A GOLD CAMO FOR MY FUCKING GUN ?!?!?!? WHY PUT THAT FEATURE THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE !?!?!??! Let's just get to the pro's and fucking con's of this before I have a fucking stroke or some shit. CONS FIRST YOU FUCK -NO PING BAR IN MULTIPLAYER (WHAT THE FUCK) -Muting system has changed to where you have to literally pause during gameplay in order to mute that one fucking kid that has his mother screaming at him during his "play time". -During play on the big map with the caved castles and shit (Stonehaven), when you scope in with a sniper rifle you fucking get FPS lag. (Probably due to the 360 being shit, but still fucking ANNOYING) -Required to do shit for eye candy. WHY ? Because fuck you. -Registration is worse than any other infinity ward game before its time. (I REALLY mean this.) -Maps are absolute garbage. (Except for Flooded, that one is lovely) -Story is boring, characters are boring, boring bored bored bored bored bored bored bored -Character customization is absolutely terrible. The decent shit is locked and only obtainable by having a high level clan. (I HATE clans and fucktard tryhards, NO thank you.) -Camo's seem like they were used as toilet paper before applied to guns. (This includes both quality and looks) -Gun attachments (for more damage, range and so on literally mean shit) -Veteran difficulty was a joke and I beat it in less than a day -FREE FALL BONUS MAP ?! So I got a hardened edition (at least I think I did, something like that) and I received a code to download a bonus map called FREE FALL. Let me tell you that it's the worst, most retarded, linear, simple, shitty looking thing I've ever seen anyone spit out their asshole and apply to a game. I can literally define the layout as a fucking chess board; where the lines between the blocks are walls and vertically you destroy a few of them. That's literally all the map is. A GIANT FUCKING TIC TAC TOE MAP where the objective is to run into each other. -Blitz is the worst game mode ever invented. It does nothing but reward campers. -Modded lobbies already exist and so do clan tags Right ... I think it's time for SOME good things. -Infected, Safeguard and Extinction are amazing. To be more exact, Extinction is. It's kind of like left 4 dead ? That said, you occasionally get one of those mentally handicapped team mates that just fucks everything you've ever planned and can't even shoot an elephant if it was 2 feet in front of them. -Lovely variety of perks -Sliding is good shit -Friends call out positions of enemy players (God thats useful) -Female soldiers (Because fuck sexism) -Achievements aren't ridiculous (or tied to DLC ... fucking BO2 did that shit) So to sum it up for you lovely bunch, I'm giving the game a fucking 3 out of 10. THREE out of TEN. <--This line if TL;DR and you're a faggot By far the worst COD to ever exist and I actually feel like I want my money back. (I've had that feeling before, but BO2 had me on the edge) AGAIN, please understand I genuinely LOVE cod. This one however, I do NOT. I do NOT care about the bandwagon horse shit that everyone seems to imply... "Oh cod is shit bla bla bla" No. THIS one is. Everyone hated the fuck out of MW2 and pronounced it the worst yet I found it the best of all. Odd, huh ? That said you can't even say it's because I'm doing bad in the game. I have a 2.1 KDR at the moment and it only seems to be climbing. The game is just ... shit ! ... fuck. -ARX is the best gun. USE IT ALL TIME EVERY TIME EVER -Run amplify and dead silence. Sound is your friend. -DO NOT use silencers you fucking fool -AVOID large maps like the plague. It's a camp fest. -If you die from a camper 3 times in a row, START > Up > A > Up > A. -Snipers > Chrome Lined or expect bull shit shots -Panic Knifing is back, you'll have to be THAT guy at times. -"Ring the dinner bell", retards come to you all the time. -Run specialist (preferably with 1 or 2 slot perks) to rank up quickly! -Use the 15 second pre-game time (enough time to read the bible 2 times over) to mute EVERYONE before the game starts -Glavonja kaže da je smeće od igre -Shotguns are worthless. Add as many range attachments as possible, then decent. -Don't EVER use the single pellet attachment (slug rounds) for your shotgun. Never. Ever. Ever. -Stealth perks are your #1 priority - stack em like I stack furry porn -Tits are lovely
Man, I had to sign up after reading your comment. I COULD NOT HAVE AGREED WITH YOU MORE. Cod 4 was awesome, MW2 was the best, BO1 was cool, MW3 was shit, BO2 was total fucking retard shit, and Ghosts is not gradable, it's just so fucking bad. You've basically said everything i thought except for two more: The colors of this game or horribly chosen for multiplayer, seeying the difference between a player and it's surroundings is freaking impossible (my tv is absolutely not the problem) The time difference or lag of which the player is unaware is freaking horrible, i need half a clip there where I get killed by 1 bullet, at least that is what i see on my screen, my internet is retardedly fast and absolutely isn't the problem either. I'm going to sell it, I'm just really done playing the series after so many let downs and fuck-ups, which is sad since i've played every cod starting from cod 1 on the computer.
I do agree with your two second statements. Anyone that's ever played the game knows exactly why the ping bars should BE there. And yes, player models blend in WAY too well with the surrounding. That's never bothered me before though as I sort of see a more realistic approach to that. I mean come on ... they're in the army and they run camo's for a reason. XD Glad you liked it !
